Cellulite Found To Be Reduced By Weight Loss In Some Overweight Women
Article Date: 17 Aug 2006
Weight loss may decrease the severity of cellulite for some women - but may worsen the condition for others, reports a study in August's Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery®, the official medical journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).

People who lowered their percentage of thigh fat showed the greatest improvement in cellulite. Simply being on a diet where you lose weight overall will not necessarily improve your cellulite. You have to shift the fat from those thighs to reduce and eliminate your cellulite.

L'Oréal pulls TV ads after ruling
Owen Gibson, Guardian, August 17, 2005
Claims about combating cellulite and wrinkles 'unsupported'

This story only appears in the UK so far. L'Oréal was told to withdraw a multimillion-pound television advertising campaign starring the model Claudia Schiffer after the advertising watchdog found it could not back up the claims made for creams to combat cellulite and wrinkles.

The ruling is the latest to suggest some claims made by manufacturers of expensive creams and lotions that promise to defy the ageing process are more mumbo-jumbo than miracle cure.

OUCH!
