(6 reviews)Editorial Review: Japanese Invention Award winner, and patented design. From Japan, this textured, extra long wash towel is softer and more sanitary than loofah, more effective than a washcloth.
TrueRenu does the searching - and the research - for you, scouring the globe for hard working, hard to find products that do what they claim. What's so great about a wash cloth, you ask? We hardly know where to start! First, it's from Japan, the country where bathing is an art, a science, and a daily part of the lifestyle culture. Leave it to the Japanese to engineer a serious wash towel! These wonderful towels that are practical as well as effective. They will spoil you for washcloths or loofahs. They are softer than loofah, but they are still exfoliating towels so there is a texture! If you're looking for a gauze or cotton soft fabric, this is not the towel for you!
Patented design and award winner from the country that 'invented' baths!
Made of a natural-feeling nylon and polyester blend, with a tiny textured pattern that helps soap or body wash get super foamy. Quick drying material so you don't have a mold magnet hanging in your bathroom all day, and machine washable with your sturdiest towels. Best of all, it's 4 times the length of a face towel. At 11 x 35 inches long, you can reach your neck and back without strain. Who knew a bath towel could be so well designed! Get 2, so you'll have one when the other one is in the wash.
Product Size: 28cm x 90cm (approx 11 x 35 inches)

Will never shower without this amazing product. Have used them for 20 years and given as gifts to dozens of friends.

Great for limited mobility, 2008-06-14
This product is great for me right now because I have my right leg in a cast and have limited mobility. I find it works great in taking a shower with my leg wrapped up in plastic. However, I like it so well that I'll be using after I'm back to normal, as it is great for washing my back.

Only wash cloth I use!, 2008-04-03
I actually began using Salux about 16 years ago when my aunt found them in a little store in Los Angeles. Then the package was poorly translated to call it a "snake gourd" rather than a washcloth. My mom and aunt and I thought this was so funny we've called it that ever since. I always have an extra in my travel bag because I can't stand regular washcloths anymore. You can find this cheaper other places on the web, with better shipping, so check around. Amazon is overcharging for shipping. Just wanted to share my two cents--it's kept my skin soft for years and feels great in winter to get rid of all the dry skin. My husband is in love with my soft skin! It dries super fast, is long enough to get your back and lathers soap beautifully. I highly recommend the Salux snake gourd!

Watch shipping fee!, 2008-03-31
After reading another customer review, I checked out the Amazon shipping fee for this product. They wanted over $8 to ship an item that weighs less than an ounce.
Do a web search for "Salux washcloth" and buy it somewhere else. It's a great product, but charging $8+ to ship it is nothing short of sleazy.

Awesome!, 2008-03-22
Another of those Asian secrets. A friend tried to get me to use this a while ago and I didn't listen. Boy, was I sorry I didn't listen after I actually tired it. This bath cloth is just incredible. It is a little scratchy the first time but it really exfoliates well and all my dry skin is virtually gone. It feels really good getting all that old flakey skin off. The Salux does lather exceptionally and rinses clean well. I recommend it to everyone.
